Molecular detection of Bordetella species with differentiation of Bordetella pertussis and Bordetella bronchiseptica with Real-Time PCR method (Whooping Cough)

A new molecular RT-PCR test is available in our laboratories for the detection of Bordetella pertussis, the causative agent of the so-called “Whooping Cough” disease. The test detects Bordetella species by differentiating Bordetella pertussis and Bordetella bronchiseptica with the Real-Time PCR method.
